DAY 1 – Tuesday 7th July 2020

After collection of guests from either Maroochydore Airport or the Nambour Rail Station, we enjoy lunch at Maroochydore the ‘Beating Heart of the Sunshine Coast’. It’s then on to Mary Cairncross Reserve and Rainforest Discovery Centre, with its amazing views of the Glass House Mountains, a real taste of what’s to come on this fabulous start to your Sunshine Coast Holiday. We travel on to the Country Lodge, your home away from home, to settle in.

DAY 2 – Wednesday 8th July 2020

First stop today is to visit local Potter Ian Reid at his mud-brick gallery (Gold Coin Donation), then on to the Yandina Ginger Factory, where you can taste the real essence of the Sunshine Coast, wander through the many interesting shops or simply enjoy the beauty of the tropical gardens. We then go onto the vibrant rural community of Eumundi. This festive hinterland town is famous for its artisan markets, many historic buildings and cultural hub for musicians, artists, sculptors, glass makers and writers. We then make our way to Noosa, famous for its cosmopolitan Hastings Street and of course Noosa Main Beach. Our last stop for the day is the Sir Henry Royce Foundation Museum (Gold Coin Donation) where you can step back in time and discover the mint condition Rolls Royce, Bentley and Austin motor cars lovingly restored and in showroom condition.

DAY 3 – Thursday 9th July 2020

We go and explore the rustic country charm of Kenilworth, with its sweeping Mary Valley views and timeless rural landscape dotted with dairy farms, olive groves and vineyards. The township of Kenilworth still retains much of it’s 1920’s charm. For a peek into the past, the delightful Living History Museum ($4 per person entry) features an old fashioned schoolroom and other display’s dealing with the area’s history. Or take in some cinema history, “Capturing The Australian Image– Past, Present and Future” at Cinema Works ($10 per person entry). We also visit Kenilworth Dairies and sample some ‘udderley’ delicious cheese, yoghurt and other fine dairy foods produced by the Cochrane family. This is before making our way back to the lodge via the Obi Obi Valley.

DAY 4 – Friday 10th July 2020

Queensland Garden Expo this event is a ‘must see’ for green thumbs and novice gardeners alike, held in Nambour, the Queensland Garden Expo attracts over 40,000+ visitors from all over Australia and New Zealand. Some of Australia’s leading gardening experts take part, with lectures, demonstrations and workshops. Features include, a Floral Design Competition, Cook’s Garden, Reflection Gardens and Landscape Garden Displays.

DAY 5 – Saturday 11th July 2020
Queensland Garden Expo – Today we enjoy another day at the Expo, just in case you didn’t get to see everything on the first day of this wonderful event.

DAY 6 – Sunday 12th July 2020

Our last full day of touring takes us to Landsborough named after the famous explorer William Landsborough (1825-1886) who was chosen by both the Queensland and Victorian governments to lead the search for Burke and Wills. Then on to the Glass House Mountains where we can enjoy morning tea at the base of Mount Tibrogargan, after enjoying the sights and sounds of this peaceful area, we head on to Caloundra and enjoy lunch at the Power Boat Club. Our tour makes its way along the spectacular headlands of Bulcock Beach, Kings Beach and Moffat Beach. Making our way North to visit Buderim the oldest established European settlement on the Sunshine Coast. We take in some breathtaking views and visit the famous Manawee nursery known for outstanding gifts and plants galore.

DAY 7 – Momday 13th July 2020

Today is checkout day, and we say farewell after Breakfast to then be transferred to either Nambour Rail Station (for departures at 10.38am to Brisbane) or Maroochydore Airport (for departures from 11.30am onwards)
