Day 1 – Sunday

Guests are collected from Sunshine Coast Airport, or Nambour Railway Station, or arrive by car where you can relax and settle into your rooms. Your room has everything you require: TV, Clock, radio, tea/coffee making facilities, air conditioning, fans, queen and king size single beds, ensuite bathroom. Motel units are on ground level for ease of access. Meals are served in our restaurant – continental breakfasts at 7:30am daily – evening meals are a 2 course set menu  served at 6pm daily. The motel has spacious grounds, scenic views, saltwater swimming pool and guest laundry. We take pride in our motel and like our guests to feel at home.

Day 2 – Monday

Firstly a visit to Gumboots in Maleny, filled with retro, vintage furniture and nick-nacks – something for everyone. Heading along the range we stop at the quaint little town of Maleny with great coffee shops and bakeries, then off to view the magnificent Glass House Mountains at Mary Cairncross where we take a short stroll through the Rainforest with its natural flora. The afternoon will be spent enjoying lunch and sightseeing in Montville, the arts and crafts capital of Queensland. Montville is a unique village of unusual architecture, wonderfully quirky shops and fabulous restaurants.

Day 3 – Tuesday

Today we embark on a trip north to The Yandina Ginger Factory, the largest in the world. Taste the ginger, ride the Ginger Train (own expense), wander through the many interesting shops or simply enjoy the natural beauty of the tropical gardens. We then explore the vibrant rural community of Eumundi. This festive hinterland town is famous for its artisan markets, many historic buildings and cultural hub of musicians, artists, sculptors, glass makers and writers. Making our way to Noosa, we enjoy a scenic drive through the surrounding Noosa sights. We will set you down in Noosa’s famous and very cosmopolitan Hasting Street. Enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants, cafes or at the ocean front Noosa Surf Club. Our last stop for the day is in Coolum to experience the newly introduced Sir Henry Royce Foundation Museum where you will take a step back in time with the wonderfully restored cars dating back to the 1920’s.

Day 4 – Wednesday

Today we board the bus and head to Amamoor, which is nestled in the centre of the Mary Valley, where we board the Mary Valley Rattler at 11am. Experience travelling back in history to a time when everything was slower. Step aboard one of the meticulously restored carriages pulled by a Diesel/Electric Locomotive, and travel along the tracks that have been brought back to life. Sit back, relax and take in the breathtaking scenery of the Mary Valley. At the historic Gympie Station, you will have plenty of time to explore the Station which houses a historical display, sharing stories of the Mary Valley Railway Line and its people. The Platform 1 Café caters for all tastes for lunch. You can also buy a bottle of wine and a cheese platter to enjoy on your journey back to Amamoor aboard the train. We arrive back at Amamoor at 3pm and head back to the Country Lodge. Ticket Prices are $45 Concession/$59 Adult. This is to be pre-paid on arrival.

Day 5 – Thursday

Nestled in parkland, surrounded by the natural bush setting, you will be amazed at the sculptured Botanical Gardens designed by local and international artists. A sight to behold. We are then onto Mooloolaba, Australia’s busiest fishing port and one of the coast’s best known holiday destinations. Here we board the M.V. Mudjimba, a classic timber ferry for a River Cruise on the Mooloola River. You will see the fishing fleets and the million dollar homes of the rich and famous. Opportunity for lunch in Mooloolaba. On the way home a leisurely hinterland drive through the little villages of Mooloola and Eudlo, to the Lodge. Ticket prices $23.00 Concession/ $25.00 Adult. This is to be pre-paid on arrival.

Day 6 – Friday

Our last day we will enjoy our final breakfast. Last minute photo opportunity with a leisurely drive to Baroon Pocket Dam and onto Mapleton Falls overlooking the picturesque Obi Obi Valley (stunning waterfall, weather permitting). This is our last look over the Sunshine Coast in all it’s glory. Our coach will then head to either Maroochydore Airport or Nambour Railway Station for your return journey home.
